The Pepper Pigs have been learning about different animal homes. This week they have been learning about birds and their nests. We made our own edible chocolate nests, which one would you like to try?
If you would like to make some chocolate nests at home please ask for a copy of the instructions available from the Nursery cloakroon.

On Monday morning while the sun was shinning we put on our shoes and coats and went for walk around the local area to look at the different buildings and structures close to our school. The children took photographs and this video shows a few of the buildings we saw.

Playing with your friends at Nursery is lots of fun.
How do you enjoy having fun at school?
This week we have had lots of fun going on our own bear hunt in the outside area.
Please watch the video and use the pictures to help you retell the story.
Can you remember what we saw in the cave?
We had great fun descorating our shortbread teddy bear biscuits.
Which biscuit is your favourite?
We have spent some time this week deciding what questions we would like to set ourselves to answer for our bear topic.
The Tweenies would like to research ” What are teddy bears made from?”
and the Brums will focus on ” Which types of bears can we name and talk about?”

Everyone in the Early Years Unit had a fantastic day at Willows winter wonderland on Tuesday the 17th of December. We had a ride on Tristan the tractor throught the fairy wood. Fed lots of animals and saw 2 lambs that were born just as we arrived at the farm. We had a ride on the merry go rounds before letting off some steam on the ride-on JCB’s. After lunch we walked through a magical grotto filled with Nutcracker soliders, gingerbread people, polar bears, seals and reindeers to meet Santa Clause. As we had been very good Santa Clause gave us each a golden key to open the top shop door. Everyone chose a super present by which time we were all feeling a little tired so we walked to our big yellow coach and drive back to school on a big yellow coach. Everyone had a great time and can’t wait for Christmas Eve when we will be visited by Santa Clause again.
